Recently, the Department of General Administration of theChinaAssociation for Science and Technology announced the winners of the first China Science and Technology Youth Forum. SMAE’s Prof. Ma Zhichao and Prof. Chen Chuanhai won the first and second prizes respectively, and Jilin University won the Excellent Organization Award.

Hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, the China Science and Technology Youth Forum is committed to creating a platform for young talents to exchange views and share experience. The theme of this forum is “building a bright future with self-reliance and creativity”. The forum has received extensive attention and strong support from all walks of life and was highly valued and actively joined by a large number of young scientific and technological researchers. More than 270 universities, research institutes, enterprises, nationwide societies, and local associations for science and technology were involved in the recommendation. Nearly 3,000 young scientific and technological researchers in various fields and regions across the country submitted entries which covered many cutting-edge scientific and technological professional fields such as electronic information, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, biomedicine, and modern agriculture.

It is reported that the first China Science and Technology Youth Forum awarded a total of 12 first prizes, 37 second prizes, 72 third prizes, and several honorable mentions.
